École Connaught Community School Replacement Project
Approval for the replacement of Connaught School was provided in the provincial 2014/15 budget. Planning for the new school has begun in earnest to target a Fall 2017 completion and opening.

School Community Planning Session (October 1, 2014)
On October 1st a planning workshop was conducted with the school community to discuss aspects of the upcoming project and key elements specific to the existing school site. Participants developed six site scenarios for further consideration by the school planning team. Two options will be narrowed down for further consultation with the Connaught Community in late October. The School Community Council also presented survey information they collected prior to the meeting. Regina Public Schools is providing this link to their survey results.

Community Feedback and Schematic Design Presentation
The results of the Thoughtexchange conversation are now available for review. Follow this link. This feedback informed the final schematic design that was shared at a December 18th, 2014 community meeting held at the Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre 2900 13th Avenue. Detail Design Approved
In July 2015, the design detail for the new school was approved allowing the project to move to the detailed construction and tender document stage. Work in this area will continue with a targeted completion and possible contract tender in late fall. Sod Turning Event
On February 29, 2016, the school division, the Ministry of Education, students and the community celebrated a sod turning for the new school. Read more details here.
Joint-Use Schools Project
The three new joint-use schools between the Public and Catholic school divisions will offer options for shared programming opportunities for students and share maintenance costs between divisions. Preliminary planning and designs have progressed on this project which are planned to be opened for the 2017/18 school year in September, 2017.
