Superintendent, Student Achievement

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Student Achievement, the Superintendent is accountable for providing educational leadership and horizontal coordination with a student achievement support team and a cluster of schools, ensuring the implementation of the priority objectives of the Division, and supporting and supervising instructional and support personnel. This position is instrumental in the implementation of the School Division Strategic Plan.

The applicant must be a highly motivated, creative problem solver with exceptional interpersonal skills; knowledge of current trends in education and a proven record of leadership and achievement is essential, as is a demonstrated record of data-informed improvement. As a teacher and educational leader, the candidate will have demonstrated teaching excellence, adaptive leadership, strategic thinking, managerial courage, and change management skills.

Teaching and administrative experience in Pre-K to 12 Canadian schools is required. A Master of Education degree is required and the successful applicant must qualify for membership in LEADS.
