Teachers Build Futures

On Saturday April, 18, 2014, executive members from RPSTA (Regina Public School Teachers’ Association) and friends helped give a hand volunteering with Regina Habitat for Humanity on a project build at the corner of 3rdth Avenue North and Wascana Street in Regina.

The mission of Habitat for Humanity is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in the building of affordable housing and promoting home ownership to provide an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty and enrich our community’s future….one family at a time.

Since its inception in 1993, Habitat for Humanity Regina has engaged thousands of volunteers, businesses and organizations to build over 60 homes. The RPSTA  Executive will continue to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity because “Everyone Deserves a Safe and Decent Place to Live”.

The volunteers on April 18th included Sheila Acton, Janice Delsnyder, Kelli Evans, Wendy Lazarou, Crystal McLaren, Andrew Pelling, Jacqueline Roy, and Sejal Thakker,
